OUR MUSEUM COLLECTION EXPLORES THE LIFE AND TIMES OF SEA CAPTAINS AND THEIR FAMILIES.
The Historical Society of Old Yarmouth collects objects and items of all types that pertain to Yarmouth’s colorful history, from the earliest times through the first settlements, from the impact of wars to the effects of social and technological change. You’ll find many of the items in our Museum Collection on permanent display in the Captain Bangs Hallet House Museum, which is the crown jewel of our collection. In addition, we often conduct exhibits and place objects from our collections on public display in other venues.
