Links Trail West

Why is this trail called the Links Trail?
The property you are now enjoying was originally part of a large estate owned by the Thacher family. Henry Thacher, an inveterate traveller, fell in love with the game of golf while in Great Britain. On this land, in the late1880’s, he built what  is believed to be the first golf course on Cape Cod. He named it Wayside Golf Links. Read more about the Wayside Golf Links.
